Governor Ernie Fletcher

I had the opportunity to discuss the new cervical cancer vaccination with Governor Ernie Fletcher in a meeting in Liberty, KY. Fletcher was very positive about our project even indicating that he personally might be able to immunize Leigh Foley and Brittany Tucker. He was pleased that his administration had been able to accumulate a surplus of $270 million dollars. He was uncertain however, as to how the Kentucky General Assembly might choose to spend these monies.
